Excellent food & service

My 96 year old mother took us here for lunch the day before her birthday. It was easily accessible with parking in front of the restaurant. Service was very efficient and the food/drinks were excellent. Very tasty seafood chowder, the best smoked salmon and we had the last 6 Bluff oysters with Cassel’s milk stout. Such a memorable lunch.

Dinner by the beach

During one of Chch's hottest days, (last night; Thus 2nd) a group of 12 of us had booked into the Beach restaurant. This restaurant has had a few owners over the years, (I used to live across the road) but these owner/s have hit the jackpot. Staff - efficient and pleasant, and managed to bring out our meals pretty close together. There would have been at least 200 diners there waiting to be fed. However, when the food arrived, what a taste sensation. Everything was perfectly cooked; they couldn't have done any better. Highly recommended, for a small or large group.
